About me...

I read a lot of books as a child, especially history, fantasy and science fiction. What lad doesn’t love science fiction!  As an adult, I wanted to find out more about the legends of the area and more about the real people too... people whose stories have been lost to time. I even found one of those stories in my own family, the story of my Uncle Gerald which inspired me to write Gerald’s War.  What a journey that has been.

So here I am now, writing away and there are more books on the horizon. I spent time as a police detective, I was a teacher of maths and physics, I worked in the NHS and then was a photographer for years.  I could tell a story a day about these things, but one thing at a time hey!

All I ask is that you watch this space for more to come… the creativity is bursting to get out of me.
